Ricky's F350 Dually - Fresh Paint!

Ricky's Dually has been at our shop for a while- lots of custom bodywork, followed up with lots of glossy black paint, and finally lots and lots of wet sanding, buffing, and polishing to make it look perfect!

Here's how the truck looked when it first rolled in:

We built a new frame for the back half of the truck with a parallel 4 link and airbags back in 2006, and at the same time we shaved the tail lights and bed rails and installed a custom roll pan with LED tails.  He rolled it like this for several years before coming back to finish the job!

The stock bed floor was cut out for the frame rails- we decided this time around to raise the entire floor up and install fresh sheetmetal for a smoother look.

We created a framework for the new bed floor out of 1" x 1" steel, then laid 16 gauge sheetmetal over top.

The factory tailgate was ditched for a custom-made skin that we braced up and welded into place, giving the rear end a completely smooth look.

We also shaved the cab rails and third brake light, smoothed the door handles and mirrors, and customized the gas door.

While it was in our shop, we installed a one-piece rear window and a fresh windshield, and swapped out the factory steering wheel for a Colorado Customs piece.  The rest of the interior will be smoothed and painted, with leather wrapping to accent it, at a later time.

He's on the lookout for a set of 22" billet dually wheels, so I'll be sure to post more photos when those are installed and the bed is Line-X'ed!
